The variety is a two-row hulless barley intended for the food industry. The grain is light-colored, with a high bulk density. The plant has a low stand height and is resistant to lodging and stem breakage.
The variety possesses high resistance to powdery mildew due to the presence of the mlo gene, but shows medium to increased sensitivity to leaf blotch and is susceptible to rust in drought years. The best yield indicators are achievable in cereal and sugar beet zones.
The main feature is a high beta-glucan content, amounting to about 6.8% in dry matter, which is significantly higher than that of other varieties. Recommended for the production of whole-grain products, flakes, and cereal mixes.
