The winter barley variety Aheloy 2 was bred by crossing the lines Hemus and No. 102/121. The plant belongs to the six-row ear type and is used primarily for feed purposes.

This variety is distinguished by its resistance to pesticides and adverse weather conditions. Due to its stability and yield, it is used as a standard in breeding trials of new barley varieties.
