The variety is a two-row spring barley, which is genetically a hybrid of lines 90014 DH and Krona. The plant was widely used in the brewing industry, where it was valued for its favorable amino acid composition and indicators suitable for the production of light lager beers and pilsners.
During studies, a potential tendency of the wort to haze was noted. The variety demonstrated stable yields and was actively used by breeders for developing new barley lines, such as Auriga and Luhkas. Currently, the variety is considered a representative of previous generations and acts as a standard sample for comparison in scientific and breeding work.
