Variety description

10 August 2026

The Anthere variety was created using the biotechnological method of anther culture, which allowed for accelerating the process of obtaining homozygous dihaploid lines. The variety holds a historical place in European breeding of the 1990s and is frequently encountered in the pedigrees of other barley varieties as a parental form.

Detailed morphological descriptors or specific agronomic characteristics of the variety are absent in available scientific publications. Currently, the variety is considered historical and is virtually not represented in modern seed registries as a relevant commercial product.
