The variety is a feed type and belongs to the two-row barley group. In late 1990s publications, it was characterized as high-yielding.

The plant possesses resistance to Barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV). The variety was included in European catalogs in a number of countries, however, in the early 2000s, it ceased to be recommended in some regions, including the United Kingdom.
