The variety was created as a result of an adaptive breeding program aimed at obtaining plastic varieties adapted to the conditions of the Republic of Tyva. During selection, attention was paid to characteristics such as lodging resistance and grain size.
The variety «Arat» is included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation and is approved for use. Detailed quantitative indicators of yield, plant height, and disease resistance are not presented in open sources.
