The variety was obtained by crossing the Heris and Nordus varieties. Intended for feed purposes, it reacts effectively to intensive nitrogen fertilization.

The plant is characterized by high lodging resistance and good health status, showing high resistance to foliar diseases. During the breeding process, the naked barley variety IS Perlina was obtained from the Argument variety via spontaneous mutation.
