The Arkansas variety is a winter barley bred by the French breeding company Serasem. It is included in a number of European state registers and official variety lists as a plant breeding achievement.
A detailed description of the morphological characteristics of the plant, such as height or exact maturity dates, is absent from publicly available publications, as the variety is cited in reference materials mainly for the purpose of comparison with other specimens.
