The variety is a representative of two-row barley. Its pedigree was formed as a result of breeding work involving the crossing of the varieties Alpha and Jet by specialists from Bulgarian research institutes, specifically the Institute of Agriculture in Karnobat.
The variety is included in the official variety lists of Bulgaria and the European Union.
