The variety belongs to the "Null-LOX" (or "Zero-LOX") barley group, which means the absence of the lipoxygenase-1 (LOX-1), and sometimes LOX-2, enzyme in the grain. This feature is aimed at improving flavor stability, foam formation, and increasing the shelf life of beer.
The plant has a two-row ear and a semi-erect growth habit. It is characterized by a medium straw length, which provides good lodging resistance. Resistance to diseases is also noted.
