The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the Orria and Plaisant varieties. The plant is characterized by an intermediate tillering type. The variety possesses good malting quality grain indicators and is capable of adapting to various environmental conditions, although under drought conditions it may be inferior to local landraces in productivity.
In scientific research, the variety is often used as a recurrent parent when creating populations for studying the genetics of such traits as flowering time, thousand kernel weight and resistance to adverse factors.
