The variety belongs to winter barley. In scientific literature, it is considered as an object for evaluating malting quality of grain; in particular, the effect of nitrogen fertilizer levels on yield indicators is studied.

Within the framework of trials, the variety was tested for resistance to smut diseases, including loose smut (Ustilago nuda) and covered smut (Ustilago hordei). Detailed morphological descriptions and economic characteristics are absent in open publications.
