The variety is early-maturing, ripening faster than the CDC Copeland standard. Plants are shorter than the AC Metcalfe variety, while the variety possesses better lodging resistance than CDC Copeland and yields on par with standards. The grain is characterized by good plumpness, high extract, and enzymatic activity.
The variety is resistant to loose smut, moderately resistant to spot-form net blotch, scald, and Fusarium head blight. It shows moderate susceptibility to net-form net blotch and spot blotch, and is susceptible to stem rust.
