The variety is a six-row winter barley. The grains of the variety are characterized by small size, low specific weight, and high husk content, which determines its use as feed raw material. The possibilities of using the straw of this barley as feed for ruminants were also studied.
During scientific research, the variety's resistance to BaYMV-1 and BaYMV-2 strains of barley yellow mosaic virus was identified, while susceptibility to other virus strains was observed. The variety was used in breeding programs as a parental component for developing new varieties.
Currently, the variety is considered obsolete and is practically not used in commercial production, retaining value mainly as genetic material or a control sample for research purposes.
