The spring two-row barley variety Grit was obtained as a result of complex multi-stage crossing. The plant is distinguished by rather late ripening and a slow rate of initial development, while having an average degree of soil coverage.

Morphologically, the variety stands out for its short and strong stem, which ensures resistance to lodging. During cultivation, moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew was noted. The main purpose of the variety is related to its good quality indicators suitable for brewing purposes.
