The variety is classified as winter feed barley. Its main characteristic is the presence of the rym5 allele, which provides resistance to Barley yellow mosaic virus type 2 (BaYMV-2).

In studies focused on leaf spot (Ramularia collo-cygni), the variety demonstrated a reduced antigen concentration compared to other varieties. The variety is included in official descriptive lists and variety trials.
