The winter barley variety KH Ászok, also known under the code K-22-01, was obtained by crossing the lines Rodnik and ODH-82/418. The plant belongs to the mid-season group, has a semi-erect growth type at sowing and intensive development in spring.
Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by a two-row long ear with a pronounced waxy coating and a nodding position. The lower leaf sheaths are pubescent, and the grain has a colorless aleurone layer. The crop is characterized by above-average plant height and is intended for malting purposes.
