Variety description

10 August 2026

KWS Amadora is a two-row spring barley variety obtained as a result of directed crossing. The genetic background of the variety includes a combination of the lines Conchita, Quench, and KWS Bambina.

The variety is intended primarily for the malting industry, providing a high level of proteolytic modification and final attenuation, which allows it to be used as a standard for assessing malt quality. It is also suitable for use as feed. It possesses resistance to a number of diseases, including stem rust.
