The variety was bred using the pedigree method from lines S14230-104 and SY413375. The growing season is on average about 79 days. Plants reach a height of 70–89 cm; the stem is strong and resistant to lodging.
It possesses high resistance to powdery mildew, scald, leaf rust, and helminthosporiosis; it is weakly susceptible to loose smut and moderately resistant to root rot. The variety shows adaptability to various conditions and drought tolerance.
The grain is husked, two-row, yellow in color, with a thousand kernel weight of 40–47.5 g. Malting quality indicators include a protein content of 9–11.5%, high malt extractivity of 80–84%, and high germination energy.
