Mentor is a variety of spring two-row barley (Hordeum vulgare L. subsp. vulgare). The genetic pedigree of the variety is a combination of the cross between Kara MM and Ariel3.

The variety possesses resistance to cereal cyst nematode belonging to race 1. In the NordGen genetic resources system, it is classified as an improved cultivar. It is used in scientific research related to malt quality analysis and genetic mapping.
