Variety description

10 August 2026

The Merian variety demonstrates a weak tendency to lodging and an insignificant tendency to stem breaking in case of over-ripening. During state trials, grain yield was assessed as low or medium.

A characteristic technological feature of the variety is high or very high grain viscosity. The origin of the variety is linked to the Sejet Planteforædling breeding program; the name is often mentioned in lists of parental forms for later breeding lines.
