The variety is characterized by low stem height and intensive tillering. It belongs to early-maturing varieties with early dates of stem elongation, heading and ripening, although in certain studies it may be classified as mid-maturing.
The plant possesses good winter hardiness and is adapted to a continental climate. It is distinguished by very high resistance to barley yellow mosaic virus and good resistance to rust, rhynchosporium and helminthosporiosis.
The grain has high or very high test weight and is used primarily for feed purposes. A consistently high specific weight of the grain is achieved due to the early ripening of the variety.
