Variety description

10 August 2026

The Michka spring barley variety demonstrated a yield of 6.0–6.5 t/ha in field trials. Like many other varieties in this group under intensive farming conditions, the variety is susceptible to lodging by the harvest period.

The plant is included in the technical regulations for DUS testing, where it is used for the evaluation of ear morphological characteristics. Scientific studies of the variety's grain also covered the analysis of the composition of free amino acids.
