Variety description

10 August 2026

The spring barley variety Mickle was obtained as a result of breeding work by crossing the Propino and Snakebite varieties. The plant belongs to the two-row type, is distinguished by short straw, a short ear of medium density, and long awns.

The variety is intended for feed purposes. It possesses good resistance to lodging and straw breakage, and also demonstrates good resistance to rhynchosporium. The variety shows moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew, brown rust, and net blotch.
