The variety was obtained as a result of crossing Heine 4808 and Piroline varieties. During development, the variety demonstrates slow initial growth, yet it is capable of forming a dense stand effectively covering the soil.
The plant possesses good resistance to powdery mildew and drought conditions. With excessive fertilizer application, the variety may form excessive vegetative mass. Historically, the variety was used as a fodder crop, but was also considered for brewing purposes.
