The spring barley variety Minstrel was developed within the breeding programs of Nickerson (UK) Ltd. In agricultural literature, the variety is known as a parental line for the development of other barley varieties, in particular the Concerto variety.
In available publications, Minstrel is mentioned in the context of long-term agronomic studies on the effect of tillage methods on yield. Detailed morphological plant characteristics and product quality indicators are absent in open sources.
