ULRICH and JOSEF BREUN
10 August 2026
The variety is a winter barley obtained through selection from a local population. In modern agricultural practice, it is rarely used for mass cultivation, appearing more frequently in scientific publications on genetics.
In pathophysiological studies, this genotype is used as a susceptible control sample when studying leaf stripe caused by the fungus Pyrenophora graminea. The variety is also included in breeding programs as a pedigree component for the creation of new hybrids.
