The Mosar variety is a winter barley derived from the cross combination (Alpha/Galion) / (Sonja/M. Trojan). In breeding practice, it is known as a historically significant genetic resource and has been actively used as a parent form in the creation of other varieties.
In international registers, the variety is characterized by a certain resistance to a number of diseases, however, under field conditions it may show susceptibility to some pathogens, including helminthosporiosis.
