The variety is intended for feed use. Plants have a medium height. The variety is characterized as winter-hardy and lodging-resistant.

The variety possesses resistance to a number of common diseases, including powdery mildew, helminthosporiosis, and rhynchosporium. The variety is also resistant to yellow mosaic and barley yellow dwarf viruses.
