The barley variety Palmyra was included in official registers and breeding programs, where it is listed as Hordeum vulgare L. The variety was used as a parent form in breeding work, in particular, it was involved in the development of the variety Wendy through a cross between Palmyra and Laverda.
Detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant, including disease resistance parameters or grain quality indicators, are not presented in open sources. The variety should be distinguished from other crops with similar names, such as the Ukrainian winter barley Skarb Palmiry and the wheat Palmyra 18.
