The barley variety Pasadena is a spring two-row form of barley. Long basal rachilla hairs are noted among its morphological traits.

The variety belongs to the malting group and is often used as a reference material when studying malt properties and malting barley quality. In breeding practice, it is known as a parental form that has participated in the development of other varieties.
