The spring barley variety Pasjonat belongs to mid-ripening plants with medium stem height and stiff straw, which provides it with high lodging resistance. The grain is large, well-aligned, with a high thousand kernel weight and increased protein content.
The plant possesses complex resistance to major diseases, including powdery mildew, scald, rust, spot blotch, and especially net blotch. The variety is suitable for cultivation on soils with low requirement levels, tolerates drought and moderate acidification, however, it requires soil pH control.
The purpose of the variety is feed use. The recommended seeding rate is 280–320 germinating seeds per square meter, which corresponds to approximately 130–150 kg per hectare.
