The variety is hulless, which means there is an absence of the lemma and palea firmly attached to the grain, which fall off during threshing. It belongs to late-maturing varieties with a growing period of about 112 days. The plant possesses good resistance to lodging and diseases.
In terms of yield, the variety is inferior to the best specimens of two-row barley, but superior to them in protein content and grain test weight. It is characterized by a higher thousand kernel weight compared to some analogues. The variety was bred for the food industry, as it does not require deep polishing.
