The variety belongs to the spring barley type. In scientific literature from the late 70s, it is described as new breeding material.
The variety possesses pronounced resistance to such pathogens as powdery mildew and cereal cyst nematode. In breeding programs, this variety was often used for studying the mechanisms of resistance to these diseases.
