The variety was obtained by selection from the progeny of a plant (line 2.5) from the cross Nordus × Heris. The plant reaches a medium height of about 77 cm. The variety belongs to the mid-late maturity group and possesses medium lodging resistance.
It possesses resistance to powdery mildew due to the presence of the mlo gene, medium resistance to the leaf spot complex and rhynchosporium, and is moderately susceptible to barley rust.
The grain is large, hulled, straw-yellow in color, and the thousand kernel weight is about 48.0 g. The variety is characterized by an optimal extract content level (82.5%), low β-glucan content, and good enzyme activity.
