The variety was obtained by genealogical selection from crossing the Tamtam and Concerto varieties. The plant is medium-height with a semi-erect habit. The spike is cylindrical, medium-dense, with a medium waxy bloom; awns are long, serrated, with anthocyanin coloration of the tips.
The vegetation period ranges from 70 to 93 days. The caryopsis is large to very large, non-pubescent. The thousand kernel weight is 42–55 g, protein content is within the range of 8.6–11%.
The variety is moderately resistant to covered smut and loose smut, moderately susceptible to root rots. Infestation with Helminthosporium and net blotch is medium. Lodging resistance and drought tolerance are at the level of standard varieties.
