A winter barley variety that, during the 1997–1998 trial period, demonstrated grain yields at the level of the standards of that time. The plant possesses high or very high winter hardiness, as well as low susceptibility to lodging and shattering when overripe.
Regarding diseases, the variety showed low susceptibility to leaf spot, but high susceptibility to barley rust and Ramularia collo-cygni. The variety was used in breeding to create new hybrids, for example, the variety «Zephyr».
