Variety description

10 August 2026

The barley variety Sabel was recorded in the official variety registers of EU countries in the 2000s. In scientific literature dedicated to plant genetics, the variety is mentioned in the context of research on powdery mildew resistance, where it was noted to possess complete resistance to specific pathogen isolates, in particular in the Sabel mlo variant.

Detailed agronomic and morphological characteristics, such as maturity group, plant height, or product quality indicators, are not presented in available publications. Under the name Sabel, varieties of other crops, such as hybrid ryegrass, could have appeared at different times.
