The barley variety Sistem (formerly known as Orizont) was bred as a result of breeding work crossing the lines Fundulea 1594-78 and Fundulea 123-79. The plant belongs to the six-row winter barley type.
During agronomic research, the variety demonstrated high productivity and good adaptability. Morphological and economic characteristics include high resistance to lodging, as well as pronounced resistance to leaf rust.
