The variety was obtained as a result of the cross (SY 411-293 x Laureate) x RGT Planet. The plants are tall, forming a loose two-rowed ear of medium to large length, tapering in shape with long awns.
The variety has good lodging resistance and moderate straw breakage resistance. The level of resistance to leaf scald and brown rust is rated as moderate. Thousand kernel weight values are high.
