The variety is a two-row winter barley used for brewing and the production of malt for distillation. Its key feature is its non-GN status, which means the absence of glycosidic nitriles, important for the production of certain types of whisky. The plant is of medium-early maturity with a moderately high straw of about 151 cm and acceptable lodging resistance. The variety demonstrates good autumn tillering vigor and rapid spring development. Resistance to powdery mildew, rhynchosporium, and net blotch is noted.
