The variety belongs to dual-purpose spring barley suitable for use in the brewing and distilling industries. The plant has a medium height and early maturity. Morphological features include a white color of the grain aleurone layer, as well as a lax or very lax ear with a strong waxy bloom.
The variety underwent the Malting Barley Committee approval procedure for industrial use. During the period of its inclusion in the recommended variety lists, it was characterized as high-yielding and possessing a balanced agronomic profile suitable for cultivation in northern regions on various soil types.
