The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the Annabell variety and the breeding line Breun St. 6163a17. The plant is characterized by high drought resistance, and also possesses quantitative resistance to Fusarium head blight and barley leaf spot.
In genetic research, the variety is often used as an object for studying vitamin E accumulation and mapping stress tolerance traits, in particular, due to the presence of the specific allele HPT-7H.
