The variety belongs to the group of two-row spring barleys. In scientific studies of the 1980s, it was analyzed for biochemical content and noted as a variety with low soluble β-glucan content.
In genetic analyses, the variety was used as an example of European breeding, in particular when studying β-amylase I (Bmy1) haplotypes. This variety does not appear in current commercial seed catalogs for mass production, retaining primarily scientific and historical significance.
