The Yukon barley variety is included in the official descriptive lists of varieties of the Federal Plant Variety Office of Germany. During trials conducted in the conditions of the United Kingdom, this variety showed high yield, including on untreated crops.
An important characteristic of the variety is its high resistance to powdery mildew.
