Variety description

The variety is a hybrid Hosta obtained as a result of a mutation of the Fire Island variety. The height of an adult plant varies from 30 to 45 cm. The leaves have a heart shape; in spring their center is bright yellow, and by the end of summer it acquires a light green shade, while a narrow dark green margin runs along the edge of the leaf. The petioles are colored burgundy-red, which can extend to the base of the leaf blade.
The plant produces flower stalks with lavender flowers. The variety grows rapidly, but due to the soft texture of the leaves, it is sensitive to damage by slugs and requires protection from direct sunlight to avoid burns. It is used as an ornamental foliage plant for decorating shaded areas and for growing in containers.
