The fruits ripen in January–February, are small in size (40–45 g), and have a rough peel. The soluble solids content is 12–14° Brix with an acidity of 1.2–1.6%; the juice yield is 40–45%. Each fruit contains between 6.5 and 13 seeds.

The variety possesses intense flesh and peel pigmentation caused by the accumulation of anthocyanins, levels of which reach 800 ppm. The plant is characterized by alternate bearing; the variety is successfully grafted onto Carrizo citrange rootstock.
