The variety is an interspecific hybrid combining the grace of Hydrangea serrata inflorescences with the size and flowering abundance of Hydrangea macrophylla. The plant forms a compact and well-branched shrub suitable for planting in open field or container cultivation.

A distinctive feature is the numerous blue star-shaped flowers gathered in umbellate lace-cap inflorescences. Abundant flowering occurs on every shoot, creating a characteristic visual effect.
