Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Syringa pubescens subsp. pubescens 'Palibin' and Syringa pubescens subsp. patula 'Miss Kim'. The plant forms a compact upright shrub 1.2–1.5 m in height and width. Leaves are fresh green, heart-shaped, and may turn dusty red or purple shades by autumn.
Flowering occurs in late spring. Buds are dark pink; the opening flowers have a lavender-pink hue and a distinct fragrance. Inflorescences are large.
The variety has high winter hardiness (USDA zones 2–7), is drought tolerant after establishment, and is tolerant to clay and saline soils. It may be susceptible to powdery mildew. Suitable for hedges, container gardening, and cut flowers.
