The variety is a complex hybrid obtained by crossing Vaccinium corymbosum L. and Vaccinium darrowii Camp. It is intended for commercial production and sale in the fresh produce market.

The variety is used in breeding programs as a male parent when developing other varieties. Under production conditions, cultivation under protective netting is possible.
